A/Prof Lee Chi-Hang, Ronald is an interventional cardiologist at the National University Heart Centre Singapore. He is an accredited specialist in cardiovascular medicine. A/Prof Lee's specialty interests focus on percutaneous coronary intervention, intravascular ultrasound, management of acute coronary syndrome and acute myocardial infarction.
He graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a MBBS (HK) degree, and was subsequently awarded the degree of MD (Doctor of Medicine) from the same University for his thesis entitled "Microvascular Obstruction following Percutaneous Coronary Intervention for Coronary Artery Disease". He received his general medical training in the Queen Mary Hospital and cardiovascular specialty training in the Grantham Hospital, Hong Kong. In 2002, A/Prof Lee was awarded the Li Po Chun Scholarship and pursued fellowship training in interventional cardiology at Thoraxcenter, The Netherlands. After completion of training in 2003, A/Prof Lee moved to Singapore and joined the National University Hospital. A/Prof Lee has been appointed Consultant Cardiologist by the National University Hospital since 2006, and Associate Professor of Medicine by the National University of Singapore since 2007.
A/Prof Lee has authored or co-authored more than 90 articles in peer-reviewed scientific journals or chapters in medical textbooks. A/Prof Lee serves as a manuscript reviewer as well as editorial board member for a number of cardiology journals A/Prof Lee is involved in many clinical trials and research studies related to his specialty interests. A/Prof Lee is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology (FACC), The Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (FSCAI), Royal College of Physicians (FRCP), Academy of Medicine Singapore (FAMS) and Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (FHKAM). He is a member of the Singapore Cardiac Society and Hong Kong College of Cardiology. A/Prof Lee speaks English, Mandarin and Cantonese.
