Professor Chia Boon Lock was trained in Cardiology in Australia and at the Stanford University Medical Centre in USA. He is currently an Emeritius Professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and a Professorial Fellow at the Department of Medicine, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. Previously, he was Professor of Medicine at the National University of Singapore (1981 to 1999) and Chief of the Cardiac Department at the National University Hospital (1996 to 1999). His current practice involves mainly clinical cardiology, including hypertension and lipid abnormalities.
