Dr Atasha Asmat is presently an Associate Consultant with the Department of Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery at National University Heart Centre Singapore. She is also a Clinical Tutor with the Department of Surgery at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.


In 1997, Dr Atasha Asmat graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. After which she completed her basic surgical training in Wales, United Kingdom. Subsequently, she received subspecialty training in Cardiothoracic Surgery at National University Hospital, Singapore. In November 2008, she was accorded Specialist accreditation in Cardiothoracic Surgery by Ministry of Health, Singapore.


She is not just an affiliate member of the American College of Chest Physicians but also, a member of the International Association of the study of Lung Cancer.


Dr Asmat's interest and specialty lies in Thoracic Surgery.
