You may know of a friend or relative suffering or even dying from heart disease. This may not be surprising as heart disease is the second major cause of deaths in Singapore, accounting for about one-third of all deaths here.
In 2005, The Heart Fund, a sub-fund of NUHS Fund, was established by the National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS) to assist financially disadvantaged patients and to support continuous medical research and education programmes in the field of cardiovascular diseases.
Heart diseases require costly procedures and long term medical treatment. Many financially disadvantaged patients are unable to afford the cost of medical treatments needed for their heart condition. The Heart Fund provides financial assistance when other avenues of financial support are not available or insufficient.
Help them receive the medical treatments they need by donating.
We need your generosity to help us continue to aid our financially disadvantaged patients at the NUHCS.
