Biosketch

A/Prof Low Ting Ting graduated with the degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from the National University of Singapore. She was conferred Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom) and finished her Advanced Specialist Training in Cardiology at National University Heart Centre, Singapore (NUHCS). She completed her advanced fellowship training in Toronto General Hospital and Mt Sinai Hospital, Canada, with dual accreditation in adult congenital heart disease, pulmonary hypertension and heart disease in pregnancy.

At present, she is actively involved in the management of the above complex and highly specialised conditions. She performs percutaneous interventions for treatment of congenital/structural heart defects, pulmonary hypertension, and pulmonary embolism. She is passionate about research in advancing therapies for these conditions and is the principal investigator for clinical trials and multi-centre registry work. She wears many hats at work – serving as the Director of Echocardiography and Diagnostic Cardiac Laboratory, Congenital lead in the Structural Heart Programme, and the Director of the Women's Heart Health Programme – the first of its kind in the nation to deliver gender-tailored care.

Beyond her work as a clinician and clinical trialist, A/Prof Low enjoys being an educator and mentor to doctors-in-training. She has led the Undergraduate Education Programme (Cardiology) 2017-2026 for the medical school, National University of Singapore. She is now a core faculty member of the Cardiology Senior Residency Programme.

A/Prof Low believes knowledge translation and empowerment is key to effective patient care. She also hopes to generate an increased visibility of heart disease in women and young adults, so that this population will no longer be under-researched, under-diagnosed, under-supported and under-aware of their risk.
